Project Background: The Winter Skincare Rush
For skincare brands, the winter season is critical. Our client, a leading Hand Cream Brand, was preparing for a massive Q4 promotion across 1,000 pharmacies and beauty stores. They needed a high-capacity floor display to hold their best-selling tubes and jars.
However, they faced a logistical nightmare: the in-store merchandising window was extremely short, and store staff were too busy to assemble complex fixtures.
The Challenge: Retailer Compliance & Weight Issues
The client’s previous campaign failed because the displays took 20 minutes to assemble. Frustrated store managers simply left them in the backroom. For this project, they gave One Plus Display two non-negotiable requirements:
- Speed: The display must be assembled in under 10 seconds.
- Strength: Hand creams are dense and heavy. The shelves must not bow under the weight of 30+ tubes per tier.
Our Solution: Auto Pop-Up + Metal Reinforcement
We engineered a custom Pop-Up Cardboard Display that combines the ease of automation with the strength of permanent fixtures.
1. The “Elastic” Auto-Open Mechanism
We utilized an internal system of elastic bands and pre-glued folds. When the flat-packed display is removed from the carton, it automatically “pops” into its 3D shape. There are no loose parts, no screws, and no complex manuals.
2. Invisible Iron Tube Reinforcement
To address the weight of the hand creams, we integrated square metal bars (Iron Tubes) beneath each shelf.
- These metal bars are hidden inside the corrugated front lip.
- They absorb the vertical load, ensuring the shelves remain perfectly flat even when fully stocked with heavy cosmetic bottles.

With the main body expanded, the shelves (reinforced with iron tubes) naturally fall into place. A simple push locks them securely.
Step 3: Ready for Stocking
Within seconds, the 4-tier display is upright, rigid, and ready to be loaded with products. The iron tubes are completely invisible, maintaining a clean aesthetic.

This “Lazy Person” (Foolproof) design was a massive success:
- Compliance: The campaign achieved a 100% execution rate across all stores because staff loved how easy it was to set up.
